Homebuyers will be able to enjoy a first look inside new homes near Wrexham from this Saturday.
Castle Green Homes is developing a 39 acre site on Main Road, Rhosrobin, to provide 189 new homes.
Named Llys y Coed or “Woodland Close” – in recognition of the woodland surrounding the development – homes at the development have been selling off plan since the autumn.
Sales director Sian Pitt said: “Given the lack of new quality homes being built in the Wrexham area in recent years, it’s no surprise that buyers have shown a strong interest in our new homes in Rhosrobin since we acquired the land. This increased when we started work on site and released the first homes for sale off plan.
“We’ve already taken a number of reservations from people keen to move here. They’ve used our multi-award-winning digital platform Willow to explore the development before it’s built thanks to our range of assets including 3D maps and virtual tours of the homes. While Willow offers an immersive virtual experience, we also have a long and growing list of people who want to view the show homes before buying.”
Llys y Coed will feature 142 private sale properties and 47 affordable homes.
The show homes are examples of a three bedroom semi-detached Marlow, with the sales office in the neighbouring property in the same style; a three bedroom detached Stratford and the four bedroom detached Beaumont and Wentworth house types.
Current prices start from £269,995 for a three bedroom semi-detached Marlow.
All of the homes achieve a minimum Energy Performance Certificate B rating, making them substantially more efficient than their older equivalents which should mean lower energy bills. Because of their efficiency, the homes can be purchased using green mortgages, which tend to offer more favourable interest rates than standard mortgages.
Homes priced under £300,000 are eligible to be purchased using Help to Buy – Wales. The Government backed scheme offers the chance to secure a new home with a 5% deposit and 75% mortgage, with the remaining 20% covered by an equity loan, which is interest free for five years.
Half of Llys Y Coed is preserved as open space, including the retention of ancient woodlands, for walks and bike trails.
Castle Green will fund improvements to Watts Dyke and provide a 400 square metre local equipped area of play, with seven pieces of play equipment.
To support the growth of the neighbourhood, the homebuilder will make a £400,000 education contribution.
It’s anticipated the site will be complete by the end of 2026.
