Home-buying guidance at the heart of the next London Home Show this April

The Queen Elizabeth II Centre, Westminster, SW1P 3EE
Saturday 18th April 2026
10am – 5pm

The UK’s largest event dedicated to helping first time buyers onto the property ladder will return to the QEII Centre in Westminster on Saturday 18th April, as the London Home Show opens its doors to aspiring homeowners from across the capital for another year.

Hosted by Share to Buy Live, the events platform from the UK’s leading online portal for affordable homeownership, and supported by the Mayor of London, the London Home Show has welcomed over 85,000 hopeful buyers since it launched in 2013. Free to attend, the event offers visitors direct access to essential information about affordable home-buying schemes, including Shared Ownership, London Living Rent, Rent to Buy and Discount Full Ownership.

More than 35 exhibitors will be in attendance, including leading housing associations and homebuilders offering developments across London and the Home Counties. Sponsors for the upcoming show include SO Resi, L&Q, Square Roots, Places for People, L&G Affordable Homes, NHG Homes, Regenta, Guinness Homes, Southern Housing New Homes, Peabody New Homes, Abri Homes, Sovereign Network Group (SNG), Mortgage Advice Bureau and Tembo.

During the day, attendees will be able to learn more about hundreds of new homes available for sale and for rent, speak directly with housing providers and receive one-on-one advice from mortgage brokers and legal professionals. Free mortgage appointments will also be available in the dedicated Affordability Space, helping buyers better understand their finances and the practical steps involved in purchasing their first home.

A major draw for visitors each year is the event’s programme of live educational sessions. This spring’s London Home Show will introduce a series of new expert-led talks designed to demystify the buying process, with financial and legal specialists explaining the ‘nuts and bolts’ of purchasing a property.

For those considering Shared Ownership, a dedicated session hosted by Sovereign Network Group (SNG) and Owen Paulo Legal will explore what happens after buying a property, including staircasing and the resales process. Mortgage-focused sessions will also run throughout the day with specialists from Mortgage Advice Bureau and Tembo.

A highlight of the day’s line-up will be a session with Dan Knott – mortgage adviser and host of the popular Let’s Buy a Home podcast. In an exciting addition to the programme, the event will host a live recording of the podcast, giving guests the chance to experience the conversation first-hand and hear expert insights from a specialist panel, discussing different housing options available to buyers.

New for the spring event, the London Home Show will also introduce an ‘Inspiration Space’ designed to help attendees picture life beyond their property purchase. Styled in partnership with furniture rental company Homebound, this area will offer interiors inspiration alongside a new Home Inspiration Stage, hosting a series of drop-in showcases spotlighting homes available across North, South, East and West London, as well as locations beyond the capital.

Jade Turnstill, Head of Brand & Content at Share to Buy, comments: “Buying a home can feel incredibly complex, particularly for first time buyers who are trying to navigate mortgages, legal processes and different homeownership schemes all at once.

“The London Home Show is designed to simplify that journey. By bringing together housing providers, financial experts and legal professionals under one roof, we’re able to give buyers clear, practical guidance on the steps involved – as well as the confidence to explore options that could help them get onto the property ladder.”
