Families Flock to The Quarry: A Family-Friendly Open Day in Erith

On Saturday 4th May, a family-friendly open day will take place at The Quarry, L&Q and Anderson’s multi-award-winning new development in Erith, Southeast London.

The event marks the launch of the latest collection of three and four bedroom Market Sale houses at The Quarry, which will offer families the chance to become part of this highly sought-after new community.

An opportunity to explore the family-focused development, the open day will include fun children’s entertainment – a face painter and a balloon artist – alongside family friendly catering from local favourite, The Bakery. Visitors will be invited to visit the three bedroom show home and explore this growing neighbourhood.

The Quarry is a landmark residential scheme of more than 800 homes on the site of a disused quarry, creating a mix of apartments and houses for shared ownership and Market Sale. The perfect place for families, the development incorporates the brand-new Lime Wood Primary School, which opened in the grounds of The Quarry in Autumn 2023. Pedestrian and cyclist friendly streetscapes with walkways across the site, and no through access for cars, offer a safe area for children to play.

Claire Brenlund, L&Q Sales and Marketing Director comments:

“The Quarry is a fantastic new development which offers something for every type of buyer – from shared ownership apartments to larger Market Sale family homes – we are creating a truly mixed community here. Families love living in this attractive peaceful environment; and with a new primary school right on their doorstep, the morning school run just got easier!”

Ian Cunnane, Operations Director at Anderson, said:

“We are pleased to be launching more family homes here at The Quarry with our partners, L&Q. Demand from families has been consistently high here, and we have no doubt this next release will prove just as popular.”

Helping families keep energy bills low, homes at The Quarry maximise the opportunity to reduce carbon emissions through the integration of sustainable design and eco-friendly technologies, including Air Source Heat Pumps and Photovoltaic Panels to all houses. All homes at The Quarry have allocated parking, along with plenty of visitor bays, whilst selected homes are also equipped with a 7kw electric car charging point or the infrastructure to install one with ease.

Situated within the M25, close to the River Thames, yet outside the hustle and bustle of inner-city London, The Quarry offers the perfect location for first time buyers and families alike Erith town centre is set to be transformed in the coming years with a £10m investment, with local initiative Brilliant Bexley funding significant changes.

For commuters, Erith is well connected by bus and rail, with regular services currently running into London, and nearby station Abbey Wood offering Elizabeth Line services, where trains to Canary Wharf take just 11 mins, and just 17 mins to Liverpool Street. Abbey Wood station is a cycle or quick bus ride from homes at The Quarry, whilst homes are also just a short walk to Erith Station, with journeys to London Bridge taking just 30 mins, and 45 mins to Cannon Street.

Providing a helping hand for new buyers, those who reserve a three or four bedroom house before 31st May could have their stamp duty* and groceries paid for a year**.

Prices for 3 bedroom homes in the current release at The Quarry start from £540,000. Deposits through the Deposit Unlock scheme start from £27,000. For more information and to book your place for the open day visit lqhomes.com/thequarry/
