Lancashire Housebuilder’s Open Invite to Home Movers Weekend

A five-star homebuilder has announced an event to help get Lancashire property seekers moving this weekend (Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd March).

Between 10am and 5:30pm on both days, Barratt Homes is inviting house hunters to its developments in Leyland and Blackburn to discover the various ways it can make the home buying process as hassle-free and affordable as possible.

For anyone worried about moving costs, the housebuilder has recommended attending the events at Centurion Village and Bernets Nook to learn how it can contribute towards solicitor fees and Stamp Duty, which could save buyers thousands on their move. What’s more, anyone looking to secure a new home can do so with a £99 reservation fee.

Alternatively, buyers who have a 5% deposit could receive a boost from Barratt Homes, gifting up to an additional 5% of the purchase price on selected homes. This means buyers could borrow less from a lender and secure a more competitive mortgage rate.

Alan Watt, Sales Director at Barratt Homes Manchester, said: “We are looking forward to helping house hunters across our developments this weekend and hopefully alleviating any concerns about affordability.

“Buying a new property should be an exciting time. It’s the start of a new chapter and we want to make sure as many people as possible can enjoy the process and make the dream of moving home in 2026 a reality.”

With a brand-new Barratt home, there are no renovation costs and buyers will have peace of mind with the NHBC warranty and insurance policy.

Barratt Homes has also made a variety of schemes and offers available across its developments to make buying a dream property as hassle-free and affordable as possible. These schemes include Part ExchangeDeposit Boost and the Key Worker Deposit Contribution.

Centurion Village is located on Longmeanygate in Midge Hall, Leyland, and has a collection of three and four bedroom homes available from £259,000.

Bernets Nook is located on Brokenstone Road in Feniscowles, Blackburn, and has a collection of three, four and five bedroom homes available from £240,000.

Anyone interested in attending the event on Saturday 21st March or Sunday 22nd March is encouraged to visit the developments between 10am and 5:30pm.
